Biografía del autor Cecily Nicholson is the administrator of the artist-run centre Gallery Gachet and has worked since 2000 in the downtown eastside neighbourhood of Vancouver, on Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh territories. She belongs to the Joint Effort prison abolitionist group and is a member of the Research Ethics Board for Emily Carr University. Her work, both creative and social, engages conditions of displacement, class, and gender violence. She collaborates regularly with activists, artists, and spaces of education. Nicholson is the author of From the Poplars (Talonbooks, 2014) and Triage (Talonbooks, 2011) and is a contributor to Anamnesia: Unforgetting (VIVO Media Arts, 2012).
